Mt Rushmore is amazing. The day we were there was a bit overcast, but the scenery was spectacular. There is a fascinating Visitors' Center under the viewing terrace where there are many interesting and interactive displays. The large photo at the bottom of this page shows one of the carvers working on Washington's face.
