The whole bird monitoring thing has really become an obsession. The babies above were about 11-14 days old and pretty careful with visitors. The ones below, on the other hand were only a few days old and without developed open eyes, couldn't figure out that I wasn't momma with food.

It is amazing to see how they develop from barely being recognizable as birds, to these odd little guys above with fuzz and developed beaks but just a hint of a wing developing, and then a few days later to having rudimentary feathers. From hatchling to fledgling usually is about 17 or 18 days.
